About Travis Glass

Growing up at Eagle Valley Travis Glass cultivated his game as a youngster. His persistence to perfect his game was annoying to staff members but his passion never died; leading him to his ability to understand the ambition of a young golfer. Travis believes in complete and thorough explanations during his teaching. His ability to communicate the logistics of the swing in a descriptive manner is simple, supplemented with analogies understandable and personally related to the student. His instructional methods use life experiences to add value to the learning, allowing the student to navigate through situations in life and on the golf course. His methods encourage the student in self-motivation and self-appreciation to reach academic and athletic excellence. Students will know what to do, how to do it, why they are doing it, and how to fix it on their own.

After a small stint in local colleges Travis left his home town to attend the Keiser University Golf Management Program in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Practicing at PGA Village under PGA of America Master professionals, Travis began to cultivate his own golf skills while beginning to understand the in depth ability to develop others. Each week Travis would volunteer his time, working under PGA of America hall of famer Donna White at Okeeheelee Golf Course’s junior academy. Travis received an award of excellence for his work with Junior Golf Foundation of America Inc.

After college Travis returned home and began teaching at Eagle Valley Golf Academy. Now a PGA of Canada Class A Member, Travis continuously aspires to coach all players in their journey to better golf. In 2015 Travis became the tour director of the U.S.Kids Golf Niagara Local Tour along with a two-day international championship, The Canadian Invitational. In the past 5 years the Niagara Tour has grown to be one of the biggest international U.S. Kids Golf tours in the world. Every year, Travis is recruited by the U.S. Kids Golf foundation to be part of the tournament committee operating the World Championships in Pinehurst, North Carolina which host 1600 players from all parts of the world.

U.S. Kids Golf Niagara Local Tour is a six event series, operating in the spring and fall to provide boys and girls, ages 5-14, the opportunity to advance their skills in the game of golf.  U.S. Kids Golf offers friendly competition and a family experience for every young golfer.  The competitive golfer can achieve status to qualify for an invitation to the Canadian Invitational and further to the World Championship in Pinehurst North Carolina.
